The Acting Out Productions tour of FIRST NIGHT moves to the brand new Park Theatre in Jaffrey, New Hampshire for performances on December 28 and 29 at 7:30 PM. This production has been presented at the Actors Studio in Newburyport, the Larcom Theatre in Beverly, the Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Lowell, the Hatbox Theatre in Concord, NH and at the Deertrees Theatre in Maine. It features JOHN MANNING and JOCELYN DUFORD and has garnered many standing ovations. The play takes place on New Year's Eve, so the week between Christmas and New Year's is the perfect time to tell its funny and romantic story! Tickets are available at the Park Theatre site, located HERE.
My new play, MOONGLOW, which is based on Ray Greeley, a musician and teacher in the Lowell, MA area in the sixties, opens at the Players' Ring Theatre in downtown Portsmouth, NH, at Prescott Park, on April 22, 2022, and is scheduled to run for two weeks. The play features John Budzyna, Kimberly Holliday, Tom Hickey, Ashley Risteen, Kerry Quinn and Ava Valianti. Lots of laughs, some romance, and even a few things you might want to think about. It's a play I've been looing forward to directing for a while, and the Players' Ring is the perfect venue for its World Premier. Tickets and more info located HERE.
My latest ten-minute play, KICK THE TIRES, ALMA, was the closing performance of the 2021 Boston Theater Marathon of Ten-Minute Plays. For the second year in a row, the Marathon, which, before the dreaded pandemic, was a one-day, all-day affair featuring 50 ten-minute plays performed five per hour from noon until 10 pm. Last year and this year, the Marathon has been virtually presented, one play a day for fifty days, not counting Sundays. KICK THE TIRES, ALMA, which is a brand new visit with the three Porch Ladies from my full-length, THE PORCH, starred Bobbie Steinbach, Ellen Colton and Cheryl McMahon, who first played the roles at the Lyric a number of years ago. More information in Broadway World, located HERE.
THE GATHERING, a play written exclusively for Zoom presentation, is now available to theatres looking to keep business rolling as plans are being made to return to the actual stage in the fall and winter. For further information, visit THE GATHERING link, HERE.
